We have begun to make preparations for the Jess’ release from rehabilitation and are working first steps to ensure that we can accomodate their needs.
First steps are to refurbish the girl’s room by replacing the flooring with something suitable to the need of the grandparents. Also to replace the flooring in the office to accommodate 2 people living in the office. We will also need to add some accessibility hand bars to the bathroom and shower as well as get a shower stool. There may be additional adjustments needed and can be added as we proceed and learn more.
Second phase is to refurbish the garage into Elder’s Space. Mike is working on a floor plan and we will be getting cost estimates to determine how to proceed. The existing structure looks to be able to support two rooms, a full bathroom and common-sitting area. This would be ideal for them since it is at ground level and would be more or less, self-contained with additional space for a caregiver to utilize.
Once upon a time, there was a river in the mountains. People came to sing and dance and rejoice under the Moonlight. I found myself in this place and without delay found myself entranced by music and threw myself into its unbridled rhythms and powerful words. Then we ate drank and made merry playing in the rivers waters and laughing along with her as she gleefully babbled and rushed along. All the while working her slow magic and crafting earth and souls and futures. Hearts and minds aflutter with excitement and joy. Life pulsing along and gathering energy through connections and open hearts. But this was only the beginning.
